When John Jackson and Tom Wilbeck started making music together, neither had any idea that traditional Americana was in their future. When a historical organization needed music from the 1800s Tom and John helped and found a wonderful collection of songs and stories from a time when our country was being forged. The music spoke for itself and The Old Common was born. Not long after, Russell Bush and Chris Wilbeck joined the group to bring upright bass and drums to the mix.
